Jewelry care
To prevent the oxidation of your jewel, just a few small precautions are enough:
- If you do not intend to wear your jewelry for a long time, store it in the transparent bag that comes with it. This is because silver tends to oxidize with the oxygen in the air. By closing it in the airtight bag, even after months, your jewelry will remain perfect;
- Do not wear your jewelry in thermal water. Sulfur is the enemy of silver as it greatly facilitates oxidation. Therefore, do not use products that contain it;
- Avoid contact with sea and swimming pool water (chlorine).
CARE FOR GOLD PLATED JEWELRY
In this case, the composition of Bi Silver jewelry is 925 silver covered with a light layer of gold plating.
For this reason, you will need to take greater care of it!
Plating, over time, will tend to wear out and there are some factors that speed up the process such as the pH of your skin.
Therefore, we recommend that you avoid contact with creams and perfumes as they could damage the plating itself.
The precautions are the same as those reported above but, please, pay more attention!
JEWELRY CLEANING
If your jewelry has oxidized and appears dull and dark, don't despair!
The characteristic of silver is precisely this: it will always return shiny and bright!
There are several home remedies, such as the use of water and baking soda. The procedure to follow is simple: heat some water, add the baking soda and immerse the jewel for about 10/20 minutes. If this remedy does not work, no problem! There are many very good products on the market specifically designed to clean silver in the form of sprays, creams and cloths that will make your jewel shine again.
ATTENTION!
FOR GOLD PLATED JEWELRY USE ONLY SPRAY CLEANING AGENTS. AVOID ANY PRODUCT THAT REQUIRES RUBBERY AS THEY MAY AFFECT THE PLATING LAYER.
